Dr. Isabella Goebel initiated munichmodern in 2005. Since then she has been curating conceptual shows of today´s art in the context of art history of art within this programmatic exhibition platform.
Isabella Goebel received a teaching assignment from Ludwig-Maximilans-Universität Munich and lectures on entrepreneurial structures within the cultural sector of the art market.
She holds degrees in Economics and Finance at Stern School of Business, New York University and a phd at History of Art at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, Munich. Specialized in an being an art market expert in contemporary art, she graduated with a Master thesis on “Sigmar Polke and Capitalist Realism” and published her doctoral thesis on “David Salle – Conceptualism of Visual Vocabulary of Symbolic Signs in Painting”. She is the editor of artists’ catalogues.
